I think lying depends on how, where and for what purpose a lie is told.
For instance, telling children that Santa or the tooth fairy is real, however this is a blatent lie that could upset children if they found out to young. However many parents/gaurdians do.
However lying in your own favour, or to get something is wrong.

heya! i believe that everyone lies whether its for a good reason or bad.i know that i have lied a couple of times to protect my brother or my friend. When we were young we were told lying is wrong. Some people lie for a good reason and some people just lie because that's what they do. there are many reason to why people lie i guess!
ReplyDeleteHey, I believe you can see lying as right or wrong depending on the motives for it. Your example about santa and the tooth fairies are a perfect explanation of what a normal and non-hurtful lie is. I believe to knowingly betray someone which is causing dis-stress to the liar and the person being lied to is bad.
