Smoking

The media have been discussing banning smoking around children altogether; this would mean banning people from smoking in their own vehicles. As high a figure as 300,000 extra child visits to the doctors occur every year as a result of passive smoking. Out of this figure, there are 20,000 chest infections, 22,000 get diagnosed with asthma, 200 have bacterial meningitis and 40 cases of sudden infant death syndrome.

What do people think about this?

  1. i think that the stats you've provided are exactly the reason for the ban, as it causes problems not only for the smoker but also the people who are around it. therefore i agree with the smoking ban.
